The Beast
Lately I’ve been thinking about the new record. Without giving too much away, I’ve been appalled at the insidious erosion of our basic human rights this past year—in our judicial system, our public schools, our healthcare, and law enforcement—as the pendulum continues its retrograde swing into theocratic fascism. I’m furious; and I’m going to channel that anger.
So let me introduce you to The Beast: Retro Mechanical Labs’ Hyde EFCcv Combo. RLM (Johnathan Irish) makes amazing hardware; each hand-built box is a tank and beautiful to boot. And the sound—it takes a simple, melancholy cello loop and…well you’ll just have to watch to see what happens.
